Dr. Artemisa Jaramillo is a global technology and innovation strategist working at the intersection of business, emerging technologies, and education. With experience across government, academia, and industry in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, she specialises in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, talent development, and technology-driven innovation. Her expertise has been shaped by a multidisciplinary career spanning politics, government, education, and management across international contexts.
She currently serves as a Lecturer at Technological University Dublin, where her teaching combines academic rigour with industry collaboration and experiential learning. Her students have been recognised as finalists in national initiatives such as ENFUSE and have delivered measurable impact, including raising over €11,000 for 12 Irish charities through integrated digital campaigns. She is currently leading academic–industry collaboration projects, including the development of the StrokeLINK initiative in partnership with the Mater Hospital.
Dr. Jaramillo has held senior leadership roles in Japan, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico, where she led innovation, technology, and education initiatives at both institutional and national levels. In Japan, she served as Chief Innovation and Digital Marketing Officer at a research institute, leading the deployment of emerging technologies into business and education contexts, and actively contributing to innovation ecosystems through collaborations with organisations such as the Osaka Innovation Hub.
In Saudi Arabia, she served as Director of Marketing, Innovation & Technology at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, the largest female-only university of the world, contributing to the development of technology ecosystems and talent programmes aligned with national transformation agendas.
She has advised governments, institutions, and organisations on digitalisation strategies and innovation ecosystems, contributing to national initiatives and structural reforms. In Saudi Arabia, her work supported advancements in technology, education, and women’s inclusion. In Mexico, she served as a government strategic advisor, working with policymakers and social leaders on initiatives that contributed to structural reforms, including gender equity.
Dr. Jaramillo is the founder of multiple international initiatives, including TechSaudiya, the GCC Blockchain Community, and Red Global MX Saudi Arabia, impacting over 500,000 students, professionals, and entrepreneurs globally. She also served as Global Communications Chair of Arab Women in Computing, contributing to the advancement of women in technology across 16 countries.
She is a global keynote speaker and mentor, having delivered talks to more than 400,000 people worldwide and contributed to international innovation programmes, including initiatives by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, New York University Abu Dhabi, and Badir Program for Technology Incubators in Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Jaramillo has also contributed as a technology expert in national public television in Mexico, where she translated complex topics such as artificial intelligence, digital regulation, and the future of work for mass audiences, reaching millions of viewers through Canal Once.
Her work and impact have been widely featured and covered by major media outlets in Mexico, including Televisa, TV Azteca, and Milenio, as well as international platforms such as Arab News, Wired (Middle East and Latin America), Vogue (Latin America), GQ (Latin America), Architectural Digest (Mexico and Latin America), Glamour (Latin America), and the Irish Independent.
Her recognitions include the QS Reimagine Education Award by Wharton School, Teaching Excellence Awards from Dublin City University, the ‘Making an Impact’ research competition by the Irish Higher Education Authority, and over 30 awards in public speaking, academic excellence, and civic engagement in Mexico. Her biography is included in the book Remarkable Women, State Civil Award Recipients (Guerrero, Mexico), and in the Encyclopaedia of Guerrero, where she is recognised among the most influential citizens in the state’s history.
Dr. Jaramillo holds a PhD in Digital Consumer Behaviour from Dublin City University, a Master’s in International Business from Northeastern University and DCU, and a professional certification in AI and Business Strategy from MIT.
